Getting to know the real Miss South Sudan

Please describe yourself, where you grew up, and your hobbies?
I was born in a little town in Southern Sudan called Yambio. My personality is very laid back and outgoing, I love to meet new people from all walks of life. I enjoy being around my friends and family. Most of my days are spent around school, my sister Flora, my besty Anhel, and the soccer field.
Please describe your fashion style? Hmmmmm…. I guess my fashion style is kind of like my personality, it is very bubbly. I always keep it cute and sexy :)
What’s your sign? I am an August Baby so that’s make a Virgo
What is your relationship status? I am single
What do you look for in a man? OMG… I am always looking for the other half that would make me whole. They have to be smart, kind, athletic, faithful and funny. Someone that will appreciate the little things I do to put a smile on his face. Most importantly he has to be family oriented.
How do you know when you’re in love? That is a good question. I think it is when a man texts me and that text message puts a smile on my face, or when my phone rings and I hope its him. Most important, is when a man is on my mind 24/7 for two straight months (I am a very busy bee). That right there is like a major sign.
What’s your favorite food and movie? I love seafood, and my favorite movie is “The Notebook.”
What is your favorite color? Pink!!!!!!!
Favorite Singers? Phil Collins, Mariah Carey, Ne-Yo, P Square, Emmanuel Kembe, Gavin Degraw and Rascal Flatts.

When did you move to America? I moved to America in 2001
What is your favorite sport and why? Futbol AKA Soccer. My parents told me that when I was able to walk as a baby, the first thing I did was kick a soccer ball. I played in high school and in college until I tore my ACL.
Arsenal or Manchester: OMG, what type of question is that? Lol I am a Red Devil fan off course Manchester. Arsenal or any other clubs could never compare!!!!
What’s your educational background? I graduated with honors from Thunderbird High in 2005, and now I am getting ready to get my Bachelor’s Degree in biology from Grand Canyon University on May 2, 2009.
How many siblings do you have? I have a Bro Christopher, he is 23 and my baby sister Flora, she is 17. Then from my mom’s side, I have two half brothers. From my dad’s side I have four half sisters and one adopted sister.
What countries have you visited? Wow, I have lived in so many different countries. Of course the beautiful country where I was born Sudan, Central African Republic, Congo (ex Zaire), Rwanda, Burundi, Kenya, Belgium, France, and now the US
How many languages do you speak? I am fluent in four French, English, Zande, and Arabic Juba. I also understand Balanda, but I am not fluent.
Can you share with us, your beauty secret? I drink about a gallon of water every day.
Who is your role model and why?
My mother Arketa Zambakari is my role model and the strongest Sudanese woman I know. My mother has come very far in life enduring experiences that no woman should have to face. What my mother has gone through has given my siblings and me strength, and molded
What is the most interesting or unique experience that has happened to you? I guess I would have to say becoming Miss South Sudan 2008/2009. I was always a tomboy, and would have never expected to win a beauty pageant.
What is your favorite facebook experience? Lol, I have met some amazing individuals on facebook. But I am starting to think that I may have met someone that could potentially turn into someone very special.
How would you describe South Sudan to the rest of the world? Sudan as a whole strikes a balance between complexity and simplicity. Not only is it Africa's largest country but also one of the most beautiful. The north has all the rich Arabic culture, and the south, which i call home, has the most striking exotc African tribes, traditions and geographic landmarks
What is your moto in life? life is what you make it. somtimes, when things don't seem to work your way, just take a second, walk outside, and say it loud "FML". You figure what FML stands for
