Youth At Risk Fundraiser June 2009 

Phoenix Youth at Risk is a non-profit organization that transforms the lives of at risk youth by providing a foundation of mentoring and curriculum that helps them build positive, goal-directed futures. I was invited to the golf outing fundraiser to speak at the lunch


Breast Cancer Walk to Empower on Mothers Day 2009Breast Cancer Network of Strength’s third annual Walk to empower was held on Mother’s day. This was a great event. I passed bottle water to the walkers at their second miles stops in the 91 degree weather. Seeing all the breast cancer survivors and having the opportunity to talk to some of them at the walk was a life changing experience. It made me appreciate life even more.

Night for Life Gala on May 9, 2009
Building for the Future black-tie gala to benefit Southwest Center for HIV/AIDS. This was one of my most favorite events so far not only as Miss South Sudan, or Biology student, but also as a humanitarian. HIV is a devastating pandemic not only in Africa, but all over the world. I’ve written numerous papers on HIV/AIDS and having the opportunity to help raise money for Southwest Center was a total blessing.

The Childhelp Wings program will strive to guide girls to make good decisions; respect individuals and themselves without judgment; understand their gifts and make a difference in our society now and in the future




San Dieg
o 2nd Walk for Darfur In April, 2009
was so honored to not only partake in the 2nd San Diego Walk for Darfur, but I also had the opportunity to give a speech on behave of the Sudanese living here in America. The purpose of the 2nd San Diego Walk for Darfur is to bring together people from the San Diego Community to show their solidarity for the people of Darfur, to use our collective voice to help stop this genocide and to raise funds for a humanitarian project that AJWS is involved with in Darfur. Funds we raise will help to support several projects in Internally Displaced Camps in Darfur that work with women and children, all victims of trauma, in a variety of educational, psychological and social programs.

Nathalie Zambakari was asked personality by Awilo Longomba to introduce him during his concert in Phoenix Arizona. Awilo Longomba is not just a regular artist doing regular music, his live outstanding performances and popularity makes him the MOST WANTED TECHNO-SOUKOUS STAR IN THE WORLD

Appearance at the Xavier Annual Scholarship Fashion Show March 15, 2009

Nathalie Zambakari was at the Xavier College Prep’s Fashion Show “DREAMS” on March 15, 2009. The annual Mother’s guild fashion show is fundraisers that enable young girls to obtain the best possible  high school education. To see more pictures of the fundraiser go to fashionphoenix.com

Drum Circle therapy at the Lost Boy Center on March 6, 2009

 Nathalie Zambakari was at the Lost Boy Center in Phoenix Arizona for Upbeat Drum Circle lead by the founder of Drum circle Christine Stevens and Dr. Craig Woodson an ethnomusicologist.  Drum circle was founded on the principle that music should be valued not only as a mode of entertainment, but as an active methodology for achieving change in individuals, teams and communities. It is something that us Southerners can use to overcome some of the atrocity we’re undergone.

Showing Emmanuel Jal support and “War Child” on Feb. 24, 2009

Nathalie Zambakari showed her fellow Sudanese humanitarian Emmanuel Jal support while promoting his book war child. Emmanuel Jal is not only the founder of GUA, but an ex-child solder turned rap artist. Please got and buy his book “War Child”.

 

MSS pool party at Grand Canyon University on March 2, 2009

Nathalie Zambakari is truly THE MISS SOUTH SUDAN. She had one of the best pool party in Phoenix to thank all the talented of partying. Keep it up Nathalie and keep on making us proud!!!!

 Concert/fashion show pre and post party on Feb. 27 & 28, 2009

Nathalie Zambakari showed up looking classy but yet sexy at the Pre and  Post party. Her smile and the way she welcomed everyone was amazing. It was an event to remember with the help of Miss South Sudan, Mimi, and DJ Sosa.

Nathalie Zambakari made an appearance to the AZ youth V-day party to show some love and support for all the strong couples, single ladies and men out there. It was a lovely night.

Nathalie Zambakari helped host this amazing event.  She represented herself, her family, and all our beautiful Southern Sudanese ladies in the best possible way. Not only did all the sexy ladies kill it on the run-way, but Miss South sudan and Miss Sudan both walk side by side on the catwalk.
